Summary

The Spanish Campus Worship Pastor is responsible for providing vision, strategy, and direction to carry out genuine and creative worship experiences, primarily in Spanish and occasionally bilingual. This position oversees and coordinates all details of the Sunday worship experience, including musicians, vocalists, song selection, audio, video, lighting, and media presentation. In addition, they will shepherd all members of the Sunday worship experience teams, ensuring that our DNA and our value of “one church, two languages” is effectively lived out.

This is a full-time, salaried exempt position. As such, the employee is expected to manage their workload and time with their supervisor. A typical workweek for this position is 40-50 hours, with the expectation that 75% of work will occur in the office during normal business hours and on Sundays.

Working Relationships

Reports to the Senior Executive Pastor of the Spanish Campus; works closely with the Worship Pastor and the Production Pastor of the English Campus; and oversees the Spanish Campus Worship and Worship Tech teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create authentic and engaging weekend worship experiences by providing vision, strategy, direction, oversight, and values-driven leadership to the Spanish Campus Worship Ministry.
  • Cultivate a multigenerational Worship Ministry that effectively celebrates the body of Christ.
  • Collaborate with the English Campus Worship and Worship Tech staff and volunteers to ensure the value of “one church, two languages” is effectively carried out.
  • Oversee and handle all technical components of music production, including charting songs, multi-tracks, arranging, and composing.
  • Recruit and build strong volunteer teams.
  • Provide pastoral care and discipleship for each person serving in overseen ministries and ensure their continued development in Christ and their ministry.
  • Work with other ministries within Spanish Campus to improve the quality of worship for each respective ministry.
  • Contribute to various mission-advancing/strengthening projects within areas of responsibility or as requested.
  • Provide management oversight to contract musicians and tech personnel.
  • Ensure People Care records for ministry team members are maintained.
  • Perform financial oversight for the assigned budget in a manner reflecting good stewardship.
  • Assist in weddings, funerals, hospital visitation, and other occasions and events, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Specific Skills/Strengths

  • Fluent in Spanish and English written and verbal communication.
  • Passion for cross-cultural ministry.
  • Skilled acoustic guitarist/pianist and vocalist.
  • Proficient computer and audio systems skills.
  • A high level of emotional and social intelligence with the ability to form nurturing good working relationships cross-culturally.

Experience/Education Desired

  • 5+ years of worship ministry experience is required.
  • Postsecondary education is desirable.

Employment Status

Christ Fellowship does not sponsor applicants for work visas. Therefore, we will only hire a qualified candidate who is currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This person must have excellent hearing and manual dexterity. They must be able to exchange accurate information when working with others and be able to work at a desk operating a computer and other technical equipment, at least 50 percent of the time, as well as move about the facility to meet with people and access files, other information, operate office machinery, etc. This person must also be able to lift at least 75 pounds and maneuver it (i.e. twist, push, pull, etc.) and be able to move heavy loads by hand and other similar actions periodically throughout the workweek and be comfortable operating a lift and other heavy machinery including operating lifts and working at heights of 45 ft.
