Director of Student Ministries 

Position: Director of Student Ministries 
Reports To: Pastor of Discipleship 
Status: Full-Time

 

Overview: 

We are seeking a passionate, Christ-centered, and dynamic Director of Student Ministries who is committed to discipling the next generation. The ideal candidate will go the extra mile to ensure students not only learn about Jesus but also experience a life-transforming relationship with Him. This role requires strong communication skills, strategic vision, relational shepherding, and solid administrative capabilities to engage students, parents, volunteers, and the broader church community. 

 Key Responsibilities: 

Develop and implement a discipleship strategy that fosters students' faith and biblical knowledge. 
Mentor students, encouraging spiritual growth, accountability, and a deeper relationship with Christ. 
Plan and lead biblically sound teaching, small groups, mission trip, retreats, and student-led initiatives. 
Be present at student events, supporting their activities and fostering deeper connections. 
Develop outreach strategies to engage unchurched students and collaborate with other church ministries. 
Equip parents with resources and tools to support their child's spiritual development. 
Recruit, train, and lead a team of committed volunteers. 
Manage the ministry budget and maintain accurate participation records. 
 Requirements:

·         Undergraduate Degree

·         Agree with Timberlake Church’s Statement of Faith with an ability to explain and teach each point.

·          Within three months of hire, attend Timberlake Starting Point and become an engaged member of Timberlake Church.

·         A deep passion for student ministry and a calling to disciple middle and high school students

·         Qualified knowledge of policies and procedures related to laws and best practices that ensure the safety and protection of children – example Safe Sanctuaries

Qualifications: 

Experience in leading and growing student ministries. 
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. 
Familiarity with tools like Planning Center Online and Microsoft 360. 
A bachelor's degree in ministry, theology, or related field is preferred but not required.
