The Livestock / 4H Ministry Manager (L4MM) reports directly to the Program Director. The L4MM supervises and works closely with the livestock assistant, creating a work schedule to ensure livestock is cared for. The L4MM is responsible for designing and implementing a program to give children the opportunity to work with livestock projects through the 4H program. The 4H program is an important part of the New Mexico Christian Children's Home (NMCCH), we use it to develop responsibility, basic work skills, and a strong work ethic with our children. The L4MM is in charge of providing management recommendations, decisions, and implementation of programs, projects, maintenance, and improvements on the agricultural lands of the NM Christian Children's Home. L4MM is in charge of federal reporting and programs associated with these endeavors. Because of the agricultural aspect of the position, "odd hours" are routinely worked and required. These odd hours can be shared with the livestock assistant. L4MM works a regular 40-hour week and is paid overtime for any hours over 40. On-site housing and utilities are provided with this position. NMCCH provides 100% of insurance premiums for health, vision, dental, life, and short-term disability. We match 401k contributions up to 5% of wages. We help staff with tuition expenses for those looking to further their education. Together, we have a family atmosphere dedicated to serving children and their families.
The New Mexico Christian Children's Home is a Christian ministry serving families with many needs. We have residential care to serve children who are not able to be with their parents. We offer housings and support for Single Parents, New Mothers, and Young Adults. We are a licensed adoption agency. With these emphases on family, it is our goal to serve families in Jesus name. Since 1954 we have worked to provide loving support and direction to people who are not in a position to take care of all their needs for various reasons. We are able to help children in education, fitness, spiritual life, learning to working with livestock, and becoming ready to succeed in the different challenges life places before all of us. We do this without government money and depend on the generosity of private donors to accomplish our mission.
