Applicants for the Worship Pastor position at CITP should:

  • Be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, who is actively growing in their relationship with Him.
  • Align with Church in the Palms Statement of Beliefs.
  • Be coachable, team-oriented, and committed to The Great Commandment and The Great Commission.
  • Have a passion for worship and discipleship.

Experience

I have . . .

  • 2-5 years of ministry experience.
  • Discipled or led others to disciple adults, students, and/or children.
  • Recruited, equipped, and empowered people for ministry.
  • Lived in South Florida or another unchurched, diverse culture for at least 3 years.

Worship Responsibilities:

Serve as the lead shepherd and facilitator for all corporate worship experiences at Church in the Palms by fulfilling the following roles:

  • Serve as the primary leader of the worship team on Sunday morning, including midweek rehearsal.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with worship team volunteers and church members and serve as primary shepherd to team members.
  • Recruit, equip, empower and train new and prospective members of the worship team.
  • Plan Sunday morning worship experience in conjunction with the Lead Pastor of Church in the Palms.
  • Schedule volunteers through Planning Center to participate in the Sunday morning worship experience.
  • Coordinate possible special events, such as nights of worship.
  • Oversee the maintenance, improvement and proper training for all Audio Visual related ministries.
  • Recruit, equip, and empower volunteers in the worship and Audio Visual Ministry.

Youth Responsibilities: Serve as the lead shepherd and facilitator for students, parents and all youth-related gatherings and special events by fulfilling the following roles:

  • Develop meaningful relationships with youth, families, and church members.
  • Recruit, equip, empower, and maintain a strong base of volunteers within the student ministry.
  • Be actively involved in local community and school clubs and activities to connect with students outside of the Church.
  • Utilize or develop curriculum that is biblically sound, relevant, and aligns with Church in the Palms mission, vision, and values.
  • Plan, organize, and attend regular mid-week gatherings with students that encourages them to grow as disciples of Jesus.
  • Plan, organize, and attend special events, trips, and retreats with students and volunteers.
  • Regularly spend time with students and families outside of Sunday mornings and midweek gatherings.
  • Develop a youth worship team to serve during midweek gatherings and occasionally on Sunday Mornings.
  • Attend leadership meetings and give regular updates on the ministries in which you are actively involved.
  • Provide regular updates on the youth for the newsletter and annual report.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Lead Pastor and Staff at Church in the Palms.
