JR. HIGH PASTOR POSITION FOCUS

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Sunday Morning Jr High Services:

o Program a fun, engaging, growing, and godly weekly service for students, with:

§ Bible teaching, games, worship, and a volunteer team

• Midweek Youth Group

o Keep our weekly junior high Tuesday night youth group healthy by:

§ Designing an engaging, fun and biblical program.

§ Recruiting and developing a volunteer team to run student small group bible discussions.

• Camps & Events

o Plan and run semi-frequent events like all-nighters, beach days

§ Promote, communicate with parents, handle finances, logistics, etc.

o Plan and run annual winter camps and junior camps

§ Organize parent meetings, transportation, camp programming, registration forms, etc

• Campus & Global Responsibilities

o As a multisite church, each campus staff works together to orchestrate local events like Christmas Eve services, blood drives, etc. Part of this job entails helping execute campus-based events like these.

o Youth pastors from all of our 8 campuses meet together twice a month to share ideas, get training, and hear from our Senior pastor Chris Brown.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A healthy relationship with God, and healthy relationships with others

• Character: humility, teachability, and genuineness are necessary traits on our teams

• Biblical training; completed or in progress

• The ability to teach the bible, build healthy teams, and build a healthy group culture
